under various federal business regulation statutes, Georgia Fair
Business Practices Act and other statutes, as well as general contractual
and other disputes. Mr. House handles construction cases also, and
handles cases by mediation and arbitration as well as at law.
Employment and Discrimination Law
The law firm of Stanley C. House, LLC handles all manner of cases
arising out of the employment relationship including contractual
disputes, compensation matters, insurance coverage and advice, as
well as race, sex, age, and disability discrimination, Fair Labor
Standards Act matters (such as minimum wage and overtime cases),
ERISA cases, and federal employee matters.
Wrongful Death and Personal Injury Cases
Mr. House handles cases for families who have suffered the
loss of a loved one by the negligence, recklessness, carelessness,
or thoughtlessness of another or from the work of a dangerous product
or instrumentality. He handles cases for those who have suffered
personal injury at the hand of another or from the work of a dangerous
product or instrumentality, as well as cases where injury is suffered
in any manner due to the negligence of some other individual, corporation,
business, government, or other entity.
Elder Law
Mr. House practices extensively in the elder law area and advises
elderly clients and their families in such matters as property disposition
and preservation, powers of attorney, living wills, guardianships,
Medicare and Medicaid issues, as well as Social Security coverage
questions, nursing home and other placement planning and issues.
Mr. House also advises clients about estate planning matters and
drafts and oversees the execution of wills and other documents.
He handles probate and other estate matters.
General Legal Advice
Mr. House furnishes general legal advice to individual, small business
corporate clients, and other entities, such as churches, schools
and other non-profit entities. Such advice includes advice on employment
and general corporate matters and involves drafting of various documents
and also involves referring particular matters to specialists where
appropriate.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Mr. House represents his clients in mediation and arbitration
as well as traditional courts. Mr. House is a trained mediator and
serves as a mediator in business, construction, employment, church,
school, and other cases and situations. He does not serve in domestic
or tort cases. Mr. House also serves as parliamentarian and moderator
for organizations and entities, and has served as an arbitrator
